It IS a Magic Kingdom!

Over the 4th we took Caroline to Disney World with my parents, sister, and grandmother. To say the she had a great time is an understatement. It was priceless to see the shock and wonder on her face every time she saw something new. We spent 5 days in Disney and visited the Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, and Hollywood Studios. I could have used 1 or 2 more days to fit in all the "I want to come back to this" things we missed. Christopher's sweet parents kept Rutland for us, and after seeing the screaming, hot, miserable toddlers dragged through Disney, I know we made the right decision in not taking him this go around. He will definitely get his day though! Remarkably, the weather was pretty bearable for early July. Although we carried ponchos and umbrella's everyday, the occasional sprinkle and cloud cover kept the temperature in the 80's. Despite the sometimes very late nights and early mornings, Caroline hung in there every day. We are so thankful we got to spend this time with our little princess. :) Because we have SO many photos, I'm going to try to split them up and will fill in any details in the captions.

When we got to our room, Cinderella had a special surprise for Caroline sitting on our bed. She opened it and was shocked to find her very own pair of light up glass slippers. She wore them whenever we were in our room and the night we went to Cinderella's castle for dinner. She wore them with her Cinderella costume!

That Cinderella is so sneaky!!
This was Caroline's first "Mickey" sighting. The statue was in our hotel and she had to go climb all over every time we came home or left the hotel.
This was Caroline's preferred mode of transportation around Disney. Her Daddy said he had to be in the best shape of his life after carrying her around 24/7! I told him that was not something to be proud of - we were only there 5 days.
Pops also got a few turns as Caroline's chaufer.
Our first "character" encounter was with the Stepmother and stepsisters from Cinderella. I wasn't sure how things would go, but she couldn't wait to get up there with them and pose for a picture. She figured things out pretty quickly and there was no stopping her after that. We quickly found a souvenier shop (wasn't very hard) and got an autograph book they could all sign. She really liked that too.
Per the fabulous book I had, Dumbo was our first ride b/c the wait gets so long. We probably waited about 20 minutes for it and she loved it. It was probably her favorite ride.
Rode the carousel next - she loved it, but didn't feel the need to ride twice.
Met Mary Poppins and Burt - she loves this movie so this was a great surprise!
As we were leaving the park to take naps, we came across a wonderful character show in front of the castle - the look speaks for itself! She was amazed to see all the characters on the stage. This was also her first Minnie/Mickey/Donald sighting. Then all the princesses came out with their princes! Lots of fireworks/sparklers in the show too which was exciting.

Staying cool with Me-Maw's fan - thanks Me-Maw. Christopher said he had a few close calls with the fan while Caroline was riding on his shoulders. He got buzzed more than once!!
